5 Reasons Why You Should Remodel At Least Two Rooms At Once

If you are looking at your budget for 2018  and are considering a home renovation, it might be wise both financially and for your personal comfort to consider updating two rooms at once. While this may seem extreme, there are actually a number of reasons why tackling two projects at once actually makes sense.

Here are five reasons why undertaking two home renovations at the same time is actually a smart move.

1. The setup and breakdown of the construction projects are more efficient
The setup and breakdown of a job are surprisingly time-consuming. Here, you’ll only have to do it once.

2. Get each task done in one fell swoop
You can have the painters paint both rooms while they are there, and the plumbers plumb both rooms while they are there, etc. This will save time for both the workers and will ultimately get the job done faster.

3. Design the whole house at once, or at least multiple rooms
Rooms in your home will flow together more cohesively if the designer is working on them both at the same time. You may also save a little money by having the designer work two rooms at once as opposed to two separate times.

4. If you’re going to make a mess, you might as well make a big mess
Grouping more than one project together will likely shorten the overall time the construction will disrupt your lives.

5. You’ll save money and keep your contractor
It’s very possible your contractor will give you a discount for doing more than one project at once over just one room. And you know your contractor will be available to do both tasks, whereas if you opt to do your renovations separately, he or she may not be available when you are ready for the second project.
